We have so many hiking trails in Pisgah,  and searching different trail websites gets confusing to try and pick which one to visit, so I will make it easy, this 4.5 mile hike will lead you to mountain views and one of the prettiest mountain streams I have ever seen - the perfect place to hammock

This hike is for the person that wants a great longer hike and wants to enjoy a day in the mountains. I feel that most tours put you in the mindset of “checking off” places but this tour is meant to help you really enjoy the area - more like a local.

We’ll hike to the summit of a mountain for stunning Blue Ridge Parkway views and relax up there for a bit. The hike up is only about a mile, but it is a series of switchbacks up to the summit with some wet roots and rocks. I would say this hike is for someone that has experience hiking and feels comfortable walking on uneven terrain. We always hike at a pace that includes times for multiple breaks while hiking uphill, so as long as you are in moderately good physical condition you will enjoy this hike. All the climbs are worth it for the views.

We'll hike down to a crystal-clear mountain creek. Around the creek we’ll hang up hammocks and relax and enjoy the scenery (and some great coffee and tea) before hiking back up to our cars. Feel free to bring a book, a podcast, or anything else to enjoy some down time in a pretty place :)

Snacks are included, but feel free to bring a lunch or your guide can provide a sack lunch from a local restaurant for an additional charge. You'll see the option on the "extras" page.

To me there's nothing better than slowing down to appreciate the moment in nature with a great cup of coffee (and new friends!).

Need a different date or time from what's listed? We have multiple guides, so please send date and time requests and we will do our best to accommodate! Note, this hike is very popular so we start early to get ahead of the crowds. Thank you for understanding the suggested early start time - it's worth it.
